Would you like to join a team of compassionate and quality-oriented nursing professionals?  WindsorMeade, a five star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community is Williamsburg, is currently looking for a Registered Nurse with SNF experience and knowledge of Medicare regulations to join our team.  The clinical Manager has overall accountability for the smooth functioning on a day-to-day basis for a unique resident-centered household.  This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of health care services to the residents of this 22 room household and for providing leadership and supervision to the nursing team.  Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Clinical Manager ensures that best practices in nursing care are followed and that those practices meet the standards of long-term care regulations.

  • Ensures overall management of nursing care and coordinates delivery of services to residents in the skilled nursing areas
  • Makes daily rounds, monitors residents, and ensures follow-up for areas of concern as needed
  • Monitors changes in the health status of residents and ensures needed assessments are completed and appropriate placement is maintained as indicated in the levels of care criteria
  • Ensures compliance with Department of Health regulations
  • Supervises LPNs and CNAs in the assisted living areas.
  • Interacts with residents and their guests, family members, and other interested parties while following all professional principles and maintaining confidentiality
  • Promotes communication among all staff to enhance continuity of care
  • Maintains and promotes compliance with all company policies
  • Rotates on-call duties with other supervisory staff
  • Interacts with staff from other disciplines to provide services to residents
  • Fosters a positive work environment
  • Maintains resident rights and confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in a long term care setting or two years of related work experience
  • Familiar with regulatory standards and licensure requirements
  • Able to oversee health care needs for an elderly population
  • Comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, gerontology, and health care issues affecting the elderly
  • Organization and management skills necessary to coordinate staff abilities with resident care needs
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with residents, staff, and providers
  • Able to problem solve and work effectively with others
  • Genuine desire to work with the elderly
  • Able to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods; able to bend, pull, push, and lift heavy objects
